Disclaimer: The following are the in progress shots and methods that I took to get 1/7 Kanu Uncho DVD Jacket Edition garage kit completed. Note that this is my third garage kit and did lots of screw up here. Only use this as a reference at your own risk. Day 4 (Priming and Base Coat)
The second photo shows the rods are taken out, labeled and the tape to the container that comes with the resin kit. This is to remind me which is which during asembly phase.
The parts are prep and airbrushed with a layer of Mr. Resin Primer Surfacer.
Fixing Pin Holes
The 3 photos below shows pin holes revealed by the primer.
The pin holes are filled up using some Tamiya Putty (normal putty not the epoxy type that I use earlier) mixed with Nail Polish Remover into a paste. A tooth pick is use to apply the paste into the pin holes. It is then sanded after a short moment. Nail Polish Remover is cheap and dry very fast. I have to keep mixing more of it while applying. The good thing about nail polish remover is that the putty can be easily applied and sanded off quickly. Normally, Tamiya Putty need an overnight to harden. Also note that Nail Polish Remover eat up plastic thus it is not suitable for plastic kit.
The parts are all fix up and ready to be prime again. On most of the parts, I lay another coat of Mr. White Surfacer 1000 as base coat for painting.
