The Making of 1/6 Rin Tousaka Cerberus Project 2005

Groundwork > Painting > Final Assembly

Disclaimer: The following are the in progress shots and methods that I took to get 1/6 Rin Tousaka Cerberus Project 2005 garage kit completed. Only use this as a reference at your own risk.

Parts are counted and sanded.

Her hair pieces are drilled and pinned.

Her head is pinned to provide strength to hold her large piece of hair.

Both arms are pinned, puttied and test fitted.

Note that both her hands are suppose to be swappable and comes with sockets to put her hands to her arm. I pinned the hands to provide extra strength.

Owing to the size of the hilt, the orb is pinned with thinner wire instead of brass rods.

Her leg is test fitted to the base. Extra wired are pinned to provide additional strength since the entire figure weight is rested on this small joining part.

The leg are pinned together.

The last step is washing to remove all sanded powder and grease.

The parts are primed with Resin Surfacer.

Both arm are glued and the seam lines on her shoulders are puttied and sanded.

Resin primer is applied again to the sanded shoulders.
