My Metal Material Model - Launcher & Sword Strike Gundam, where as the background is from a photo that I have taken at the Great Wall of China during my Beijing trip. The background is flipped horizontally and applied Hue and Saturation, Sharpen and Gaussian Blur to have a nearer camera focus. The subject is blended to the background using layer mask. 
Photo from completed model of HG 1/144 scale MS-07B3 Gouf Custom. Background is a photo of a building taken from a photo CD. 
A digital diorama by using some of my completed models of the same timeline. Throw in these three to create a fun scene. Background is generated by using Terragen, a free landscape generator.
