This is a 24th release of Gundam Fix Figuration (GFF) featuring a highly detailed figure of Zeta Gundam. I have tried to stop purchasing anymore Gundam from the GFF series but I failed to let this pass. This is owing to 2 reasons on why it is worth buying.

Firstly, this is the cool Zeta Gundam, which appears in the Z-Gundam series. Secondly, this is transformable figure to "Wave Rider" mode. Although a transformable GFF is first seen in GFF#0019 Zeta Plus, I prefer this standard design and color scheme.

The following are the part listing.

  • 1 figure
  • 1 instruction sheet (b/w)
  • 5 extra hands
  • 1 plastic base with 3 extension pieces
  • 1 beam rifle with removable clips
  • 1 extra beam rifle clip
  • 1 sniper scope for beam rifle
  • 1 beam cannon with moveable concealed handles on both sides
  • 2 light sabers

Articulation
The standard GFF figures usually emphasize much on outlook and often left out the articulation. As a transformable figure, it does have better articulation than the usual GFF figures.

The head is ball-jointed with free range of movement. Shoulders and arms are articulated allowing a limited movement. Each piece of its skirt armor is movable but the waist is in a fix pose.

The mentioned are the standard norm but the better start here. The elbows are hinged allowing a better range of movement, bendable at about 90 degree inwards. The figure lower limbs are the most flexible portion with double hinged knees and ball-jointed feet making this a kneel-able mecha. It is just too bad that the side skirt armors are connected to the upper thigh instead on the waist. This somehow limits the movement of the well-articulated leg and preventing the figure to kneel properly.

This figure has its flaws. The PVC material use in a GFF figure is softer than the usual plastic model. This does pose some quality issue where some connecting parts are either too tight or too soft. This means that during posing, the parts either could not move easily or pop-out here and there. I have problems dealing with its head, shoulder and side skirt armor where it pops-out now and then.

From an aesthetic angle, the softer materials sometimes go out of alignment. This happens to the 2 wings connected to the rear, which could not align at a perfect straight line.

This item is purchased from Mongkok, HK.

Same comments. Same problems with the kit. Mine has difficulty fitting the arms in the binders during transformation. GFF0024 Z looks nice, but for me, thats about it. I still like it.
