A 1/144 scale Char's Zaku from the "Kado Senshi" (movable warriors)
series of die-cast figures. This is a completely posable figure and is
has all panel lines gray colored for a nice finish. Outer panels of the
calves are die-cast metal that gives the figure a hefty feel along with
a low center of gravity for easy posing.
This is definitely not the best-looking Zaku around since it is built to resemble Zaku in "Gundam The Origin" where, in my opinion, a design least to be desired. (A small head rested on the chubby body, an oversized shield and comes with a pair thigh where all men will avoid like a plague!) Although this figure comes with a big minus on the appearance, its selling factor as implied by the series title, relies heavily on its playability factor. Those who are familiar with Gundam will knew all too well that the flaw in the two decades old Zaku's design, which limiting its articulation. Bandai did a commendable job here by re-creating a superbly posable figure.
Packaged in a paper box with drawn arts as front cover and photos of the figures in various poses at back cover. The figure is nicely tucked in a Styrofoam box, where the figure lied on the right and accessories is on the left. A four pages color instruction manual is laid on top of the accessories.
Let us start from the head. The neck is not ball jointed thus it could only rotate left and right. Its capability to move vertical is done by a catch at the end of the neck connecting to the body. A queer thing to note here is that the neck could elongated like a turtle giving a larger degree of movement. This figure has a moveable waist, as oppose to most "waist-less" Zaku's merchandize; at about 20 degree horizontal and some limited up and down. While this figure is not employing more advanced double joints, it simply goes for the more solid conventional joint system which is ample to serve the purpose of articulation. Its four limbs and the soft rubber skirt armor are the main contributors where the combination of these is the magic behind its posability.

The weapons and accessories that come with the figure are the Zaku's bare standard tools of the trade; bazooka, machine gun and heat hawk axe. Also comes with four extra pair of hands for various poses and a 1/32 scale pewter figure of Char Aznable as bonus item.
The following are the part list:
- 1 1/44 scale Zaku II figure
- 4 pairs of hands
- 1 shield
- 1 machine gun
- 1 bazooka
- 1 heat hawk axe
- 1 1/32 scale pewter figure of Char Aznable
- 1 colored 4-pages instruction manual
This figure is purchased from Litt Tak, Sungai Wang at 50% discount. A figure for die-hard fans who crave for a posable Zaku figure who could put the criteria for "style and appearance" at backseat. In term of value, I will prefer the other green Zaku (MS-06 Zaku II Production Type), which comes with a Dopp fighter.
