A re-release of the VF-1A flown by Hikaru Ichijo
(Rick Hunter) in the 1984 movie "Macross - Do You
Remember Love?". First saw this action figure at a
local store and it looks quite impressive. However,
the price put a cold stop to any idea to get hold of
one. At the current moment, I think anything that is
higher than the (MYR) $200 mark is a big no. Being a
modeler, I prefer the higher detail Yamato version
but the local price of (MYR) $320 for a Yamato VF-1S
is just too much for me.
Being a regular HobbyLink Japan visitor, I got to know that they are selling the Bandai version of Valkyrie at a 50% discount. This seems to be a very good deal and I ordered one from them.
When I received this kit, it is a mixed feeling. In overall, I am quite satisfied with it but something keep nagging me that there is a better one out there. I guess, beggar is no chooser.
Only look nice in Fighter and Gerwalk mode. Battroid mode lacks articulation and looks ugly in overall.
