The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya follows the high school life
of Haruhi Suzumiya. For those who are into anime, would know this
name well enough that an introduction is unnecessary. This is one of
the few rare anime that has the capability to etch a deep impression
into its audience memory.
For those who have watched this show, I believe no one could forget
the memorable scene in episode 12 where Haruhi dressed in her odd
bunny girl costume and went up the stage to perform as a temporary
singer for the school band ENOZ during her school annual festival.
She started the performance by frying her guitar, sings the two
awesome songs, “God Knows”, and then followed by "Lost My Music".
Both songs are performed by her Seiyu, Aya Hirano, who won the
"Voice Acting Award" in the Sixth Annual Tokyo Anime Awards and a
nomination for the "Best Actress in a leading role" category from
the first Seiyu Awards.
This PVC figure release by Atelier Sai is base on the scene on
episode 12 where Haruhi is portrayed in her black bunny suit with
her electric guitar. Since the figure is quite large in sixth scale
and being on her high heels, it is nice to see special attention is
put into the figure stability. Firstly, the base has a special mold
on the display base that fit her high heels nicely. Moreover, an
extra "doll stand is included to clasp at her waist to provide
better support. Atelier Sai is pretty much thorough in preventing
the "leaning PVC" problem.
There are pretty much options provided with this figure. 2 extra
hands is provided for you to swap and this brings a total 4 hands to
display her in 4 different combinations. An in-scale microphone is
provided along with her electric guitar.
The sculpting is fantastic. Her upper body is nothing to be
fascinated, as expected from a high school girl, but then her sensuous legs are a killer. The paint job is
as good as you can get from a PVC figure in today standard. No ugly
mold lines are found anywhere on this figure either.
There are other 2 color variations (white and red) released for
this figure but personally I prefer this black suit since this is
the original costume color worn by Haruhi.

Hope you like the CG that I created. I am trying to replicate the Episode 12 scene.
