Bronze Saint Dragon (Draco), is being depicted as a character that fight for justice and willingly sacrifice himself for the sake of his others. As shown in the TV series, he has at oft times shown self-sacrifice for the sake of his comrade. This is clearly shown on some of memorable events, where he blinded himself in his duel with Silver Saint Medusa in order save his comrade from being petrified; and on the other count, self-annihilate with Capricorn Shura to buy a safe passage for his comrade in the retake of the Sanctuary. He is one my favorite characters among the five bronze saints with some famous traits such as being an insane blood bleeder and often like showing off his dragon tattoo on his back by taking off his armor during most fights.

The head is sculpted well and anime like. It will score perfect if his eyes are made longer and thinner. His long hair, by far the most exciting design, is made moveable by 3 points of articulations in 3 large sections and 2 smaller long pieces with some degree of movement, which allow Shiryu's hair to pose in various directions like some shampoo advertisement. The front portion of his hair is detachable to reveal a placeholder for his head circlet.

Shiryu comes with a well articulated PVC body where the shoulder and feet could be elongated for some serious posing. The body armor is painted in a shinny metallic green and does not hinder much movement. The only manufacturing flaw I could detect is some paint defect on the right leg guard, which might be some isolated QA problem. The dragon shield is a tad oversize for my taste though.

The Draco's object is constructed with twenty over armor pieces and in an anime like fashion. No serious complain over here except for the dragon claw clearly show 'L' and 'R' characters printed on it. Feel like it is quite stupid for Bandai not to conceal these 2 obvious letters.

Shiryu comes with a PVC figure and a set of die-cast dragon cloth. The 'book-box' opens to reveal that it consists of two window boxes. In one window box is a well-articulated figure of Shiryu, along with some of his Cloth parts, and etc. In the other half is the rest of his Dragon Cloth and no less than seven spare hands in gauntlets for various poses.

The following are the full listing:

  • Metal parts consist of: 1 chest plate, 1 belt, 2 arm guards (dragon shield on the left), 2 knee caps and 2 leg guards.
  • Non-metal parts consists of: 1 fully articulated Shiryu PVC figure, Dragon Object's frame and base, 2 circlet, 2 shoulder armors, 2 dragon claws. A total of 7 extra gauntlet; 2 fist, 2 loose grip, 2 open palm and 1 right palm for "Excalibur" pose.

This is was inititially preordered on HLJ but the order was cancelled as soon as it was spotted to be available locally. I could not bear the 2 week wait for shipping. This figure was purchased at Time Square. A definite must have collection to Shiryu's fans.
