Dubhe Alpha Siegfried is an anime character from the Asgard chapter of Saint Seiya, the
manga series by Masami Kurumada. He is one of the seven God Warriors of Asgard, and serves
under Polaris Hilda.
Siegfried was said to be the reincarnation of the legendary hero Siegfried. In Norse
Mythology, he was a hero who fought and slew the evil dragon Fafnir. Not only did he win
countless treasure hordes by the dragon, he also bathed himself in the blood of the beast,
making his body invulnerable, giving him the reputation of "the Invincible Warrior."
However, a falling leaf landed on the back of his heart during this, leaving one spot of his
flesh still vulnerable. Eventually, he fell into a trap set by people jealous of him, and
was killed from a spear blow through the back of his heart.
Reborn in the current time, Siegfried had known Hilda, the Guardian Priest of Asgard, long
before becoming a God Warrior. Although life was very difficult, Hilda ruled Asgard with
much kindness and benevolence, and prayed that war would never come to Asgard. Siegfried
secretly loved Hilda in his heart, and vowed to protect her with his life.
When the time for the legendary God Warriors to return has come, Siegfried and his close
friend Hagen, were chosen to become God Warriors. However, he noticed that Hilda has changed
to become a more aggressive and power-hungry ruler after this. He was also warned by Hilda's
sister, Freya, that Hilda has changed her nature recently. Unlike the previous gentle
guardian, she was now like a devil who hungered for conquest. Siegfried felt doubtful about
Hilda's nature, but he did not question Hilda, and remained blindly loyal to her command.

Object
The design of the object is base on Fafnir, the legendary twin headed dragon in Norse
mythology. At first glance on the instruction manual, the object seem to be quite
complicated but then assembly is not too hard to do. The armor are asymmetrical in design so
keep in mind that the left and right parts are different.
Figure
The figure is a surprise. Bandai has not upgraded their body design in this series since
the first Final Bronze and they are coming out with 2 new body designs in one go. The new
body design mentioned here are the new female body as in Pandora Limited edition and this
Siegfried, the first God Warrior from Chapter Asgard.
The figure is built in a way that look like Siegfried in a tight suit. The shoulder,
hips, elbow and knee joints are re-designed and I suspect the design got some some heavy
"influence" from Kaiyodo's Revoltech series.
This new joint design is a very welcome change. It is articulated and look much better
than the final bronze body.
Armored Figure
The armor figure looks great. The design is asymmetrical meaning both left and right
side of the armor are different. The side skirt design is something new. It make use of the
rod on the side skirt armor to click on the catch from the combined front and rear waist
armor. I am also impress on how they deal with Fafnir's twin head. One of the head goes to
the right shoulder and the other for his helm. Both of the head are different where one
design become his full face helm while the other form a normal helm.
The back of his armor is no less interesting where it comes with the option to install
Fafnir's wings or the provided pair of extra mini-wings or the standard Gold Saint's PVC
cloak.
There is one small issue to look out for. The belt buckle keeps falling off every time I
accidentally press the front skirt armor. The belt buckle is small and it is a nuisance to
search for it on God knows where it fell.
Conclusion
This is a very nice debut release for God Warrior Robe. It comes with loads of parts,
new body and beautiful armor design. Highly recommended.
This item is a Hong Kong Edition and purchased locally at Berjaya Time Square.
