Story
Hydra Ichi is another bronze saint that participate in the Galaxian Tournament. He is one of the
many young orphans selected by the Graude Foundation to train as a Saint. Where he is sent to and
how he manage to get his Hydra cloth is left untold. His power includes poisoned talons and amazing
speed. He is defeated in the Galaxian Tournament by Cygnus Hyoga along with his armor destroyed.
Knowing the fact that the 12 Gold Saints is nearly complete it releases, Bandai again tried squeezing out extra blood from collectors by slotting in 2 more Bronze Saints before the last 2 Gold release. I really hate it when Bandai pulling something like this. It is like watching a filler episode in an anime. However, it is again quite irritating that Bandai manage to make this release a notch above the average bronze saints making this item to be considered for collection.
Packaging
The package is the same box design that split open in the middle revealing 2 windows; in one
window box is an extra large figure of Ichi, along with some of his cloth parts while the other half
contains the rest of his Hydra Cloth and Object parts.
The following are the parts count and items in bold are of metal (bold underline is for partially made of metal):

The package also comes with a color instruction manual.
Object
As far as I can remember, I have never seen Hydra Object in the anime and I really have no idea
whether Bandai is faithfully recreating this cloth. One thing for sure is that the snake like Hydra
cloth is not as dull as Unicorn Object. It is trying to represent a coling snake and 3 extensions
plus a tail are given to do that.
The armor is colored in silver with a hint of red pearl. It is hardly impressive but not really bad. The biggest con in this release is its paint job that chip off easily.

Figure
As with Unicorn Jabu, Ichi is also making use of the new "Final Bronze" body that comes with
much improved articulations. I notice that the flesh is pale and the shading is much more obvious
than Unicorn Jabu. The head sculpt is good and look as in anime. It comes with the same creepy black
eyes and the punk white hair.

Armored Figure
The armor design is at least seem to be faithfully recreated from the anime. The color scheme
does look a lot less toy-like than Unicorn Jabu.
The interesting feature on this armor is its fangs that grows out of the armor. This is as seen in the TV series where Ichi grows fangs from his knuckle for his ultimate attack, Mellow Poison. The fangs not just coming out from his knuckle. It it once seen grown from his knee as a surprise attack against Cynus Hyoga. All these is faithfully recreated in this figure.
The hold and fist pose hands comes with a slot on the knuckle where the knuckle can be taken out to swapped with the fangs. There are 2 set of fangs. The other set is for the knee. Hydra's knee caps comes with a removeable piece that reveal a hidden slot. The fangs are then slotted to the knee caps via 2 small pins.

Conclusion
I do not think this is an item to die for but comparing to Unicorn Jabu, this is better. It has
a higher fun value and the paint job is not as toy-ish. He comes with paint chipping problem. Out of
all Saints released so far, he is the least charismatic and has the worst complexion. Ichi is not at
fault. The blame goes to his parents who gave birth to such a pretty ugly child. Leaving him
becoming an orphan is the right choice. Your decision in getting this item very much depends on your
compassion to bring home this poor little ugly snake.
This item is pre-order online via HLJ.
