Lionet Ban is a minor Bronze Saint in the Saint Seiya anime series. He is on of Athena's 48 Bronze Saints and represents the constellation Leo Minor.

Ban was one of the hundred children that received training to become a saint, due to the grand vision of Mitsumasa Kido. What he did not know, was that Mitsumasa was the father of them all that made them half brothers. Eventually, he drew the ticket to train in Tanzania on the Mountain Kilimanjaro. He was one of the ten that succeeded in obtaining a cloth, in his case it was the Bronze Cloth of Leo Minor.

In the “Galaxian War” tournament held by Mitsumasa Kido's granddaughter Saori Kido, he started of against Unicorn Jabu. Ban fought with his Lionic behavior but lost badly to Jabu. After some time he and the other Bronze Saints that had lost in the tournament, returned to their masters and trained further.

Object
Ban's Bronze Cloth represent the constellation Leo Minor, and is made in the form of a small Lion. The object is the usual bronze cloth quality where assembling the cloth object is not really complicated. The paint job is good where pearl-like orange color is used. Paint chipping problem is not as bad as the other minor Bronze Saints (unicorn Jabu & Hydra Ichi).

Figure
This is a Final Bronze body, unlike the newer Poseidon and Asgard body design. You can expect the best in the articulation department with this.

I could not remember much on how Lionet Ban looks like in the anime since he has very little screen time. If I compare with the portrait on the box art, he looks somewhat less wicked as a figure. Also, note that he should have broader shoulders in the anime whereas Bandai is giving the usual standard body. This mean we cannot differentiate Ban broader body comparing to the other bronze saints.

Armor Figure
Gold Cloth design is beautiful but sometimes impractical for an action figure. I could not pose much with those full armors whereas, the bronze cloth that comes with less armor does has the benefit to make full use of its excellent articulations of its final bronze body.

For those who are fan of this series will immediately recognize the armor design is of the TV series. The anime design differs from the manga by having a lion face for its helm, claws for the shoulder and armor leggings.

Conclusion
This item comes with very attractive action figure with nicely sculpted face and excellent articulations for its final bronze body. The armor is nicely painted in pearl orange and unobtrusive to its movement.

Overall this is one good action figure. The only problem is that Lionet Ban is hardly known character. I do not think anyone will buy this unless they are hard core fans to Saint Seiya series.

This item is acquired by points redemption from a local shop at Berjaya Time Square.
