Story
Mizar Zeta Syd was the first God Warrior to appear in the Asgard chapter. He was sent to
the Sanctuary to 'declare' war against Athena. He defeated Taurus Aldebaran with one blow
(it was later revealed that a hidden force helped him). Then he went in Japan to kill
Athena, he was stopped by Seiya and Shun, and he returned to his country waiting for the
Saints to come and fight there. He was defeated by Shun's Nebula Storm in the Valhalla
palace. Before his death, it was revealed he always knew about his twin brother, Alcor Zeta
Bud. He told him, that he always was in his heart and he and their parents never forgot him.
He wanted to help his brother in killing Ikki but Bud couldn't attack his own brother. Then
he understood that he loved his brother.

Object
In Chapter Asgard, the God Warriors are represented by a star in the constellation of Ursa
Major and this makes 7 of them (excluding the hidden Alcor star). Syd took the place of Mizar,
the second star from the end of the Big Dipper's handle. The cloth design is normally taken from
a creature in the Norse Mythology. However, this Mizar Zeta object takes the appearance of a
green saber-toothed tiger, an animal that does not belong to the Norse Mythology.

Comment
In overall, Mizar Zeta Syd is a so and so release.
The object comes in the form of green saber-toothed tiger, painted in the usual metallic green. It is the usual easily chips off paint so be careful in handling the parts.
As with the previous Dubhe Siegfried, the figure body is making use of the similar design also found in the Poseidon series. There are not much to talk about aside from the major complain on its neck. I can only describe it as ugly. A long ball joint jutted out from the neck molded in grayish blue and it is visible from every angle except from the dead front with it chin dipped downward. It is too obvious and I cannot see why Bandai is not putting some effort in hiding it.
Beside that, his long hair end is a separate piece that needs to be taken out and fit into the back of the helm. The hairpiece comes with a tiny hole that does not fit into the pin of the helm piece. I need to stress the plastic a bit to fit in.
I think Bandai really have to look into their quality control. Another example is there is some excess PVC in the Object frame joints making it quite hard to fit in the first time.
If I have to pick on something fussy, I will say the design of the front skirt armor. It uses a single short pin to attach itself to the waist armor. It has the tendency to pop out whenever your finger touches the tip of the skirt.
In conclusion, I will rate this as a disappointing release. It is disappointing that Bandai has set a high standard at Dubhe Siegfried while pushing this mediocre God Warriors number two.
This item is purchased locally at Berjaya Time Square.

Responses to this page:
Hi Kah Fai, I guess the neck problem on this Mizar Syd figure should not be so serious cause I had came across another website that also reviews it but the photos especially showing from the side or back have not so serious neck problem as we see in your photos. Probably u can still push the head all the way into the neck hole. There should be ways to resolve it. Here's the link, pls do take a look as you maybe able to resolve this problem which I also find it too ugly.
