A new series of
Saint Seiya figures (first release in 2003), with the concept of PVC figure with die-cast
metal installed on as the armor. Although die-cast is utilize but much emphasis is put on
the figure's mobility and the ability to pose as seen in Saint Seiya TV Series (1987).
Pegasus Seiya is the first release of this series and in overall surpasses any of the previous Saint Seiya's merchandized in features such as the usage of die-cast metal, mobility and pose, armor to zodiac object transformation and accurate representation to the anime characters.
The head sculpt is done excellently, where the similarity to anime is almost 100% accurate. I have never before seen a Seiya's action figure that looks so "Seiya". The front portion of the figure's hair could be removed to fit in the head circlet.
The armor is executed exceptionally attentive to mobility. Small attention to details such as flexible shoulder armor is implemented in order not to hinder the figure mobility. The only complain is the color of the armor depicted on the box photo is misleading. The actual armor is delivered in flat silver rather than chrome silver as shown on the photo.
Posing on this figure is excellent, provided feature like figure's shoulders and feet could be elongated to cater for more drastic pose as seen in the anime. Pose Seiya in "Pegasus Ryu-Sei-Ken (Meteors of Pegasus)" now look quite cool and natural.
Pegasus Seiya come package with a PVC figure of Seiya and a set of die-cast Pegasus Cloth. The 'book-box' opens to reveal that it consists of two window boxes. In one window box is a well-articulated figure of Seiya, along with some of his Cloth parts, and etc. In the other half is the rest of his Pegasus Cloth and no less than six spare hands in gauntlets for various poses.
Preorder and purchase this online from HLJ. This is definitely an exciting series for all Saint Seiya's fans.
