Story
Piece Aphrodite, shared the same name with the Greek Goddess of Love, and considered the
most beautiful Saint. Despite his deceptive appearance, Aphrodite is a male. Although he
comes with a beautiful outlook, he is actually cruel beyond hope. Like Death Mask, he knew
the real identity of the Pope and he still chooses to follow him. His attacks with roses,
"Royal Demon Rose" (red), "Piranha Rose" (black), "Bloody Rose" (white). Each colored rose
represent a specific function to decapitate his opponents; red roses are poisonous, black
are explosive, and white ones drain an enemy's life force.
He secretly followed Scorpio Milo to attacked Andromeda Island and killed Shun's master, Cepheu Daidalos. In the second last battle in "Retaking of the Sanctuary", Andromeda Shun is his opponent, a battle between warriors with severe lack of testosterone. Knowing about the facts that Pieces Aphrodite murdered his master, the normally docile Andromeda Shun enraged and execute his ultimate attack, "Nebula Storm". With the newly found seventh sense added on top of that, he ended up killing Pieces Aphrodite.
Later he and Cancer Death Mask were revived by Hades to have Athena's head taken to Hades, but they were again stopped by Aries Mu and sent back to Hell by Rhadamanthys.
Packaging
Pieces Aphrodite is the last of the 12 Gold Saints in the Saint Cloth Myth series. It
comes in a standard package where it opens to reveal two window boxes; in one window box is
a figure of Aphrodite, along with his cloth parts while the other half contains the rest of
his armor parts and accessories.

The package also comes with an instruction manual and a mantel tapered to the back of the box.
Object
I did not see the Pieces Object in the TV series since Aphrodite appears with his armor
worn. The object took the shape of a fish as in theme with its represented constellation,
Pieces. The constellation of Pieces comes with a pair of fish but the object is just a
single fish. The Gold Fish object, once constructed, measured at about 15.5 x 4.5 x 8.5 cm
(L x W x H), resting on a provided display base.
There are 2 base support provided where the smaller one support the belly where as the larger one has a joint that pluck into the left side of the object. These give an excellent support to the heavy object.
The object looks complicated and according to the instruction manual, the sequences must be followed but then it is surprisingly easy to construct.
I have no complains on the object. It looks like a fish and it rest solid on the provided base making this a notch above the average animal zodiac.

Figure
This is the last Gold Saint and there still is no new body provided by Bandai. It is
using the standard old body. Although old, the articulation is good enough for posing the
figure. The body is molded in blue and the flesh tone comes in a very pale pinkish white.
Bandai has done a good job on the head sculpt. It looks like Aphrodite as seen in anime and details such as the mole on his left cheek is replicated. The mole is a bit tiny and partially hidden by the sideburn.
The head comes with additional face to swap. The extra face comes with his mouth biting a red rose. It is sadly that the rose is not removable and cannot swap with the provided 6 other roses.
His hair fringe is swappable with another to wear the full helm. The flowing long hair is replicated by another hairpiece that comes with a catch to attach to the neck joint (similar to Gemini Saga).

Armored Figure
Although I do not like Aphrodite but to be fair, I need to give credit to the Pieces cloth
design. It is smoothly converted from the object to be worn on the figure. It is rounded in
design with stylish double-layer shoulder plate and fins on arm and thigh. It also comes
decorated with intricate details.
The armor figure comes with a mantel attached to the provided holes at the rear. However, there is an option to display without the mantel and replaced by the fish fins instead.
All armor parts attach solid on the figure but the mantel is slightly loose to my liking. Beside the loose mantel, I have no complains here.
Roses are Red … White and Black
Pieces Aphrodite attacks with roses and main gimmicks for this release is the 3 differently
colored roses, red, white and black, are provided to replicate his ultimate attacks. Each
color comes with 2 roses in a slightly different mold. 2 additional hands are provided to
pose with the roses. One comes in a grip (or hold) pose whereas the other is a clip pose (as
about to throw). These hands come with a leave-less green stalk and the roses can attach to
it.

Conclusion
Pieces Aphrodite is another evil Gold Saint just like Cancer Deathmask. As in the anime, I
favor Cancer Deathmask but the same cannot be said to Pieces Aphrodite. The main reason for
the disliking is his repulsively evil and faggot attitude (I think evil and faggot does not
mix well).
Pieces is located at the last Zodiacal Palaces. After following the story so far, I was expecting a climax showdown between the last Gold and Bronze Saints but I was heavily let down being shown a battle between faggots instead (Aphrodite Vs Shun). This leaves a bad impression on me.
Ignoring the dislike of the character, this release of Gold Saint is an average Joe. It is neither the worst nor the best and recommended for those completing their collection of Gold Saints.

I think the rating "Average" is too low considering Bandai gives three kind of roses, extra face and extra arms. Aphrodite figure looks similar to him in anime.
