Background
The term 'Agito' (roughly translated from Latin as stirred or awaken) was not referred to a particular person but to those who received the power from 'The Force of Light' who would one day become the chosen ones in the battles against 'The Force of Darkness' and its angels of death, the mutant-like Overlords. One particular individual who had been fully awakened by such power and put it into good use was Shoichi Tsugami, a cheerful lad in his 20's who had a zest for living despite suffering from amnesia in a mysterious sea accident. His sunny attitude towards life eventually won him many friends and allies along the way in the ultimate battles against the unbeatable Force of Darkness in order to save humankind from an unalterable fate.

Comment
An interesting release of SIC, which allow a single figure to be converted into 5 different forms of Agito; Grand form, Flame form, Storm form, Yukina Agito and Trinity form. However, these come with a hefty trade-off in design, as the flexibility required and the constant conversion causes the joints to be weaker than the usual SIC figures. Weak joint plus a figure accompanies by 2 heavy die-cast weapons; flame saber and storm halberd, which is illogical by design. Posing is almost impossible in Trinity form, where as both weapons has to be yielded together.

Usually, I welcome the effort in SIC re-sculpt on the Kamen Riders, when the final product featured realistic and a darker representation of Masked Rider. I could not say the re-work of Masked Rider Agito in this release is to my liking. First complain is on the head sculpt and then followed by the chest. The V-fin on the head looks a bit too large. On a head-on perspective, the head seems all right but viewing it from an angle on the side looks a tad way out. The chest is too broad and portrayed the supposedly nimble Agito with a bulkier look. The body proportion of female Agito (Yukina Agito) with a slimmer body is easier on the eye. Fortunately, larger shoulder pad in Storm and Flame form complement better with the bulkier torso design.

SIC figures traditionally made of 30% die-cast. At first, I felt slightly cheated on the amount of metal being use on this figure where it seems to be more PVC than 'chogokin'. I do hate to admit it; where on a thorough count, metals 'do' make up 30% and this really irritates me where Bandai is putting all the metals at the wrong place! Half of the metals are taken up by the 2 weapons and the rest goes to the belt and the torso resulting on a highly imbalance figure.

This item is purchased locally at Time Square.
