Kamen Rider Blade is a 14th installment in the
famous Kamen Rider series broadcast in Japan
on 2004/2005. Kamen Rider Blade is the
second rider to appear in the Kamen Rider
Blade series after Kamen Rider Garren.
However, he is the main Rider of the series.
The primary motif of the series was the use of
playing cards. Each rider is assigned one of the
four suits, hence the name Blade, and the cards are
primarily use for offense and defense.
Initially each rider is transformed by fusing the
Henshin Belt with a Category Ace card. However, by
going through the normal routine of beating up
monster and capture them into a newer card, Kamen
Rider Blade is granted with other alternate forms
when higher level cards such as the Category Jack,
Queen and King Card is obtained.

Figure
This Kamen Rider Blade is well-realized with
multitude of details. I personally prefer this SIC
design than the ugly costume on the show. The paint
job is the usual good and the articulations are much
improved from the previous SIC figure. Expect to see
lots of joint in this guy.
It comes with quite number accessories to pose
for some of its signature move. The nifty item will
be his sword blade with a working rotating card
decks. A special sword holster is provided for the
blade. Other accessories include the clear red
plastic piece for his forehead while he is
initiating his special move and another accessory
for his sword-in-stone pose.
The rest of the parts are for the conversion to
its final form, the Evolution King. The second sword
is provided for his King Form and it can be attached
to the back of the figure.
Conclusion
Great effort are put into re-sculpting this
figure and Bandai has done a great job turning the
ugly Kamen Rider Blade to something a little more
pleasing to the eye. This figure comes with very
good articulations and the details are simply mind
blowing. This should be a good item not to be missed
if you are into collecting SIC figures.
This item is purchased locally at Berjaya Times
Square.
