Kamen Rider Kuuga was initially release at volume 13, featuring Ultimate, Amazing Mighty and Incomplete Form. As in the show, Kuuga comes in numerous forms and a single SIC release could not cover all its variations. Thus, Bandai is releasing this SIC volume 22, featuring Kuuga in red Mighty Form, convertible into Dragon, Pegasus and Titan form.

I preordered this online from HLJ months ahead and this is never available for normal sales on HLJ. The demand is surprising and never expected to be so popular. I believe anything sell with whatever Bandai throw into the SIC line.

This is an excellent figure, intricately sculpted with fine details and patterns all over the armors. Even the weapons are carves with fine details. Kuuga's original design, as seen on TV, is originally simple and the problem with putting on so much detail creates a slight imbalance where, design wise, the figure is quite plain from waist downwards. This problem is addressed by highlighting the body muscle with greenish panel lining giving a more attractive appearance.

Packaged in a red box with clear plastic displaying the figures and parts where some photos of the figure illustrated on the back. Once the box is opened, you will greeted by a 1 page (black and white) instructions sheet and a (8 pages) color booklet entitle "S.I.C. Official Diorama Story: SIC Hero Saga : Masked Rider Kuuga Edition" taped to the back of the contents. The plastic case comes in 2 layers where the upper portion holds the figure, 3 masked in different eye color, 3 additional chest armor and weapons accessories; a Pegasus Bowgun, a Titan Sword and a Dragon Rod. The lower portion holds additional parts; 3 pairs of shoulder pads and a pair of arms for each Titan, Pegasus and Dragon Form, 3 pairs of hands (2x hold, 2x grip and 2x fist) for Titan, 2 pairs (2x fist, 2x hold) for Dragon Form, 2 pairs (2x fist, 2x hold) for Pegasus Form, 1 pair of grip for Mighty Form and 3 die-cast "henshin" belt.

The figure proportion is terrific where the leaner body depict a nimble warrior which suit well with Kuuga’s role. All the joints are tight and well hidden, bringing a solid feel to the figure.

The head is molded in detail comes with multi-layered jaws that moves to reveal its teeth. The mask is detachable and swaps with given extra for conversion. Neck is ball jointed with free movement.

Torso decorated with fine details on the armor, which wrapped around the figure chest and it can swapped with the extra given armor during conversion. Chest moves up and down with waist that turns. The die-cast belt is detachable and can swap during conversion to other form with additional belts, featuring buckles in different color.

Arms are socket jointed on the shoulders with exchangeable should pads resting on it. Double ball jointed on elbows and single ball joint on hands. Hands are swappable. The legs are ball jointed at thigh with hinge-and-ball jointed knee. Feet are ball jointed. Weapons included "Dragon Rod" and "Titan Sword", fully metal, where as "Pegasus Bowgun" is mostly of PVC.
