Story
Kamen Rider V3 is a fictional character from the Japanese tokusatsu television series
Kamen Rider V3, the second in the famous Kamen Rider franchise of tokusatsu programs. The
primary protagonist of the series, Kamen Rider V3 is a motorcycle-riding superhero modeled
upon a dragonfly and armed with a variety of powers. His name is a pun on Version Three as
he is the 3rd Kamen Rider. In the original series, he was portrayed by Hiroshi Miyauchi. In
the movie Kamen Rider The Next he is portrayed by Kazuki Kato.
Shiro Kazami was a 22-year-old college student at Jonan University with a major at biochemistry. However,
by chance, he accidentally witnessed the brutal murder of a road worker by a member of the secret terrorist
society known only as Destron, which appeared after the destruction of Gelshocker and continues its
predecessor’s goal of world domination. To rid the Destron of its witness, and leaving no chances, they sent
Scissors Jaguar to murder the entire Kazami family. Though he was forced to watch his family die before his
eyes, Shiro was saved from the same grisly fate by the interference of Kamen Riders 1 and 2. Bent on revenge
for his family's deaths, Shiro pleas the Kamen Riders to make him into a cyborg just like them. The two
Kamen Riders refuse at first, but after Shiro was fatally wounded while saving them, the two had no choice
but to respect his wishes. By the time Shiro awaken as a the third Kamen Rider, Kamen Rider V3, the Double
Riders were seeming killed in a kamikaze explosion caused by Bazooka Turtle after V3 destroyed his family's
murderer. Across the series, Shiro battled Destron's cyborg monsters, eventually uncovering his newfound
abilities while battling the likes of Doktor G, Baron Fang, and Archbishop Wing. When faced with the newest
Destron's strongest general, Marshal Armor, V3 was joined in his battle by ex-Destron scientist Joji Yuki /
Riderman and the Double Riders.
Riderman real name is Joji Yuki, a former member of the organization known as DESTRON. He served loyally
for Destron’s cause as top scientist until a jealous Marshall Armor framed him for being a traitor of
Destron to cover up his failures of defeating Kamen Rider V3. As a result, he was sentenced to be tortured
to death by being dipped into a pool of acid, which resulted in the loss of his right arm. At first, he only
sees Marshall Armor as his enemy and not the Destron Organization itself; furthermore, to prove his
innocence to Destron, he seeks out to defeat Kamen Rider V3. However, he learns the truth about Destron and
eventually joins Kamen Rider V3's cause. Near the end of the series, he supposedly died in a Pluton Rocket
explosion. Kamen Rider V3 cried out that he is Kamen Rider number 4.
In reality, he manages to survive. In the Kamen Rider Spirits manga, it explains how he survived the
explosion and landed in Tahiti where he lost his memory, but regained it when fighting a crab kaijin who was
really a resurrected Marshall Armor.
He is among the veteran Kamen Riders who help Kamen Rider Black RX fight the Crisis Empire near the
series finale.
