Introduction
Wing Saber served as a first class transport for
members of Cybertron's high council before he
discovered his true calling as a warrior. His
incredible speed and aerial skills have made him a
valued member of the Autobot Team. In jet mode, his
stealth abilities allow for long-range attack that
has given the Autobots the upper hand during many
offensive maneuvers. Wing Saber takes great pride in
his standing with the Autobots and has proven his
loyalty and devotion to Optimus Prime on many
occasions. His ability to powerlinx with Optimus
gives their combined robot form impressive flight
capabilities. Megatron has kept an admiring eye on
Wing Saber and hopes to someday sway this great
Autobot Warrior to the side of the Decepticons.
Vehicle Mode
Energon Wing Saber in vehicle mode resembles a
futuristic stealth bomber. It is sleek, thin and
very wide. It comes with a pair of spring operated
missile launcher that shoots out the 2 missiles
included. There is a long landing gear under the
cockpit and both side landing gears are folded on
both sides of its blocky wings.
Wing Saber in vehicle mode by itself does not come with much play value. However, it is somewhat fun searching for powerlinx possibilities with Optimus Prime.

Robot Mode
Wing Saber robot mode is somewhat disappointing.
There are almost no articulations. The only moveable
section are its mere 2 point of articulations on its
arms, a pair of bulky leg that spread sideways, and
knees that rotate but could not bend. The paint job
is not that good. There are a few places spotted
with paint runs or bleed.
Note that Wing Saber is never meant to be play alone. It sole purpose is to combine with Energon Prime to form Wing Convoy mode.

Wing Convoy
The real fun when dealing with Wing Saber is its
powerlinx options with Energon Prime. There are 2
forms to constructs Wing Convoy, Fly Mode and Cannon
Mode. In Fly mode, Wing saber is dissected into 4
sections where the upper 2 sections are to form the
hands and shoulders for Wing Convoy. Both Wing Saber
legs slot into Prime's leg to give Wing Convoy some
height. In my opinion, the fly mode is the
best-looking configuration for Energon Prime.
The other mode is the bulky Cannon mode. This is done by swapping the blocks position that attach to Energon Prime. Wings Sabers legs now form Prime's bulky hands, which are now equipped with laser cannon and rotate-able shoulder turrets. Wing Convoy legs now formed from Wings Saber 2 upper sections. This is an impressive Wing Convoy mode with weapons to kill.
Conclusion
Wing Saber does not have play value by itself. It
only shines when it is powerlinx with Energon
Optimus Prime, which sold separately, to form
Wing Convoy
mode. This is a definitely a recommended upgrade for
those who own
Energon Optimus
Prime.
This toy is bought from Parkson Grand.
