Comment
This is another beautiful pre-painted PVC figure
release by Max Factory. She is Irina Marcillen, from
Genrin no Kishougun II. I could not find much
information regarding the series and I believe she
is a character taken from some Japanese H-Game
produce by Eushully, a Hokkaido base game studio.
She is posed on her knees and praying with her
angelic wings half spread open. As usual Max Factory
quality, she is beautifully sculpted and painted.
We all know that PVC figure are mass produce
goods and somehow somewhere it comes with
unavoidable mold lines. This figure do comes with
these imperfections too but then it is extremely
well hidden. It will take the eye of an eagle to
spot that and this alone makes Max Factory stand out
among the crowd of PVC manufacturers. Paint job is
extremely details. No paint run spotted and painting
details is up to the point where she comes with
painted fingernails.
There are 2 main gimmicks on this figure.
Firstly, it comes with semi-opaque parts (clear
parts) that are getting popular among figures and
Gashapons nowadays. I am grateful that Max Factory
does not choose to use clear parts on her hair (like
what most do now) but using it on her dress and
wings. It is clearly seen as a smarter choice as the
semi-opaque dress is much more attractive to the eye
of its beholder.
Secondly, it is the "undress" options provided.
PVC figure is a statue figure in PVC medium. A fixed
pose figure is boring and there tend to be some
creative of sculptors in Japan tend to come up with
this alternative display option. Granted that
Irina's dress is semi-transparent but then again,
understanding the general perversion need of
consumers, Irina's dress and blouse can be removed,
providing full transparency for those unwilling to
strain their eyes gawking her.
A black plastic base is included, oval in shape
and measuring about 15 x 12 cm.
