Comment
This is a 1/7 scale resin recast figure of Kanu Uncho from Ikki Tohsen. The pose is as appeared
in one of the DVD covers, wearing nothing but her school uniform top, panties, socks and shoes.
The part that I like is that this kit is that she is sweet and poses sexily without being too provocative. Moreover, sculpt from Griffon is always easy to do. The fitting is good with very little gaps and most of the joints are cleverly covered.
This kit is bought from e2046 and originally released on July 2004 by Griffon Enterprise.
Construction Note
This kit is done in 6 days time where most of the time is spent on groundwork. Painting is done in a
single full day. I have again took tons of photos and the detail construction notes can be found at
“The Making of 1/7 Kanu
Uncho DVD Jacket Edition”.
Although this kit turns out ok, there are a few things that I am not satisfied with the work here.
Firstly, my test fit and putty work runs when I assemble the kit together. Her left leg is not touching the ground as she use to be. Secondly, it is the gaps on her hair. Again my putty work runs on final assembly. Moreover, I am frustrated that her hair strands that fall left and right does not touch the ground perfectly.
I believe I did not do a bad job on painting but I am continuously plagued by paint peeling. The worst is that it happens on the back of her waist that is center of focus area. Although it is sanded and then re-painted, it is never original. Moreover, I am also plague by glue problem during assembly.
Lastly, I missed sanding the back of her knee. I did not notice that during priming and only after flesh tone is applied. It is just too late at that point.
A small note about what I notice about the flesh tone mixture. It seems to turn slightly yellow when the paint cured after a day or two.
