This is a 1/6 resin kit where the sculpt is originally release by Griffon Enterprise (2005). This is a re-cast kit that I bought online.

This is another easy kit where the quality itself demand little sanding. Moreover, I like the box joints that they use. This make pinning unnecessary and the fitting is almost perfect. There is almost no challenge on this kit where everything make it easy for construction and painting. The only small challenge demanded from this kit is the complicated masking required from her torn attire where partial flesh is expose.

An easy kit means too many modeler have built this kit and there is nothing new to show if I build this babe in basic. Choose a different color scheme? Nay. I prefer to retain its original scheme where it has the anime feel. Moreover, a different color scheme looks like a cheap PVC marketing trick to suck money from fans (e.g. Max Factory's Kasumi C1, C2, C3 C4 and countless other PVC manufacturers that comes with no shame). I have been squeezing up my brain juice to think up an idea.

Ikki Tousen anime series features fighting scenes between school babes and it is predictable where there is only so many places open enough for a fight. The usual familiar places includes school entrance, field, gym, labs and roof top. Aha! This give me the idea. I will retain her color scheme and build her a cool base to spice things up. A roof top where it comes with fences will be great! "The Rooftop" is one of the most overuse scene in any school anime and it is not surprising to see Ryofu Housen standing with her sword there. Hehehe (^-^).

.... Well, it is good idea but then how the heck to build the roof from scratch? Another brain teasing challenge. Check it out how it is done at "The Making of 1/6 Ryofu Housen".

This also has a great tone difference between the cloths and flesh...
